Jan Ariesen

Jan Ariesen’s career in the broadband cable industry commenced in 1983 when he joined the Research & Development team at Tratec Telecom in the Netherlands. He is an experienced engineer with over thirty years broadband cable experience, at Tratec he developed numerous headend, access network and in-home products.

Tratec and Technetix joined forces in January 2005 and Jan’s role expanded so he became more involved with the technology and commercial teams. He was appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Technetix in 2012 and, with his team, has created innovative technologies and products that improve customers network performance while driving down the total cost of ownership. In 2020, Jan also assumed responsibility for Research & Development and Product Line Management. 

Jan’s focus is on liaising with customers to establish their needs and to be the Technetix technology advocate, developing new technologies and product platforms with the customer in mind. He is passionate about learning and regularly conducts training for customers and key industry bodies, in addition to conducting regular training sessions for the team at Technetix through the Technetix Academy.  

Jan was appointed to the Technetix main board in 2018.

He has also held executive positions at Airband Inc., a Wireless Services Provider in Dallas, and IBBS, a Service Assurance Provider in Atlanta, GA.

Jennifer Didoni

Jennifer Didoni is the Head of Cloud Portfolio Management for Vodafone Business Cloud and Security business unit. Jennifer manages Vodafone Business’ global portfolio of cloud offerings across small to medium sized businesses, public sector, national and multi-national corporates. This portfolio covers traditional IT and hosting solutions, SaaS solutions, public cloud partnerships, managed and professional services for cloud, co-creation and low latency applications and Vodafone’s market leading Multi-Access Edge portfolio. Jennifer joined Vodafone in 2009 as the Business Manager for Vodafone’s Global Chief Technology Officer, and she has since held several roles for Vodafone Business in product and portfolio management. In addition to running Vodafone Global Enterprise’s product portfolio, she has also led the IoT Product Management portfolio, launching innovative solutions such as Internet in the Car and Narrowband IoT. Prior to joining Vodafone, Jennifer held roles at IBM, Vail Resorts, Context:Travel and taught at The Emma Williard School and The American Overseas School of Rome. Jennifer is an American and an Italian citizen, residing in the UK. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Dartmouth College. 

Jeff Finkelstein

Jeff Finkelstein is the Executive Director of Advanced Technology at Cox Communications in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been a key member of the engineering organization at Cox since 2002 and led the team responsible for the deployment of DOCSIS technologies, from DOCSIS 1.0 to DOCSIS 3.0. His current responsibilities include focusing on creating future network technologies. He was the initial innovator of advanced technologies including Pro-Active Network Maintenance, Active Queue Management, DOCSIS 3.1, DOCSIS 4.0, and the Flexible MAC Architecture. Jeff has over 50 patents issued or pending.  

Mike Frane

Mike Frane is vice president of product management at Windstream Enterprise. His responsibilities include the company’s overall SD-WAN strategy, as well as the network and security service portfolios. Since joining the organization in 2008 with the acquisition of Earthlink, Mike has overseen the launch and lifecycle of services, including LTE wireless, Ethernet and MPLS IPsec access elements, Secure WiFi & Analytics, Application Performance Optimization, IPsec VPN and Unified Communications. Prior to Windstream’s acquisition of EarthLink, Mike led the launch of EarthLink’s SD-WAN service, their most successful product introduction in over a decade.  

Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Cellular Biology from the University of Minnesota and was involved in gene therapy research at the Institute of Human Genetics before entering the telecommunications industry. 

 

Rajesh Gadiyar

Rajesh Gadiyar is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Network Platforms Group and leads the Architecture & Systems Engineering organization. He is focused on delivering a scalable and efficient architecture for next generation communications platforms. He leads the architecture efforts to accelerate Network Function Virtualization (NFV) including 5G infrastructure, Edge Cloud, and AI in Networking. 

Since joining Intel in 2000, he has held several positions in Engineering, Professional Services, Strategic Planning and Architecture. Prior to joining Intel, he led various engineering teams at Trillium Digital Systems and Wipro Ltd. He brings several years of experience in networking products, architecture, protocols, standards and software development for Voice over IP, cellular, broadband, mobile telephony and data networks. He represents Intel as a Governing Board member of the Linux Foundation Networking (LFN) and Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). He is a regular speaker at industry events and conferences. Randy Levensalor

Randy Levensalor is a principal architect at CableLabs, a non-profit research & development lab funded by the global cable industry. As a principal member of the Future Infrastrcutre Group (FIG) team, he is responsible for creating the edge and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) infrastructure reference platform and progressing orchestration capabilities based on service providers’ needs. Randy also leads the Software Defined Networking NFV Application development Platform and Stack project, or SNAPS®, a CableLabs initiative to accelerate and ease the adoption of network virtualization.  Randy was recognized in Fierce Telecom’s "The top 25 movers and shakers in the telecom industry." 

Prior to joining CableLabs, Randy gained extensive experience leading R&D, DevOps, and product management across several Hewlett-Packard divisions focusing on successfully delivering its public cloud, Linux and converged management solutions.   

Randy is actively involved in CNCF, OPNFV, OpenStack and OpenDaylight and contributes to key industry standardization efforts including ETSI NFV. Elad Nafshi

Elad Nafshi serves as Senior Vice President, Next Generation Access Networks for Comcast Cable. In this role, he leads the company’s Next Generation IP network delivery. 

Elad joined Comcast in 2005 and has held several product development and management roles at Comcast since that time. He has led a number of high-profile initiatives around Cloud TV, Cloud DVR Interactive Television, Addressable Advertising, Digital Set-Top-Boxes, On-Screen Guides and other key programs. 

Prior to joining Comcast, Elad was with RCN Corporation, a regional high speed internet service, digital cable TV, and home phone service provider based in New Jersey, and led the product management and development group. He launched a series of technologies, including home security and monitoring, and various premium internet subscription services that enabled the then startup to capture share and consumer awareness against much larger competitors. 

Elad graduated from The Buchmann School of Law at Tel Aviv University in Israel with a focus on corporate and international law. He also holds a master's in business from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester in New York, where he specialized in electronic commerce and finance.

Starting his career at Bell Labs, Ramesh has served in various technical and business leadership roles at Lucent and Alcatel-Lucent. He is also the co-inventor on more than 50 patents and holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. 

 

Renu Navale
