Shubh Agarwal is the SVP of 5G Solutions at Metaswitch, a disruptive cloud communications software company. He is heading the 5G initiative to drive new services to market as networks transition to 5G, accelerated by cloud software and infrastructures. He is also an angel investor plus entrepreneur with experience in conceptualizing AI driven chatbots for mobile commerce and cloud communications platforms for embedded video. Mr. Agarwal has a 22 year strong track record in new market entry and delivering new mobile core and radio products into the global service provider market for Nortel, Siemens and Mavenir. Shubh Agarwal attended Executive MBA program at Emory University and holds Wireless Engineering degrees from Rutgers University.
Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer
Scott Midkiff serves as the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for Virginia Tech. In this role, he has overall responsibility for the university’s information technology strategies, services, and infrastructure in areas including networking and telecommunications, advanced research computing, technology-enhanced teaching and learning, email and collaboration tools, enterprise systems, identity services, and IT security. Dr. Midkiff is also a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech.

Kurt Schaubach brings 25 years of wireless industry experience to Federated Wireless where he plays a key role in developing technologies and new business strategies to create the next-generation architecture of broadband wireless.
Previously, Kurt served in various engineering roles at the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC), NextWave Wireless, LCC International, and Southwestern Bell. Kurt was a founding member of a publicly traded wireless broadband and multimedia software company and led the acquisition and integration of two wireless infrastructure companies.

Michael has more than 20 years of management experience in the fields of technology, process improvement and innovation. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Director of Public Safety, Business Services & City Technology for the City of Irvine, CA. Michael is extremely passionate about technology, and believes through innovation, communication and cooperation we can create a brighter, sustainable world for all.
Michael received his B.S. in Management from Pepperdine University followed by a M.S. in Executive Management from the University of Southern California.

He is focused on driving new opportunities across 5G, CBRS, PLTE, Wi-Fi 6, IoT and smart cities; and leading Boingo’s multifamily and legacy business units. A seasoned corporate executive, Michael has a successful track record for building new businesses and creating profitable growth. Prior to Boingo, he was Vice President, Internet of Things Solutions, and Founder and General Manager for AT&T’s Smart Cities and emerging IoT solutions.
